RoHS compliance
RoHS, lead free legislation, directive 2002/95/EC restricting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment will come into force throughout the European Community from 1 July 2006.
A total of six substances are primarily eliminated from electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), thereby contributing to the protection of human health and the environment.

Although RoHS is an EU directive, EEE manufacturers outside Europe must also comply with the regulation if their equipment ends up being imported into eu member states.
